Representation and services for the statutory health insurance dentistry in Saxony-Anhalt
The Association for statutory health insurance dentistry in Saxony-Anhalt (KZV LSA) represents the dentists and orthodontists of Saxony-Anhalt. The KZV maintains and guides Saxony-Anhalt's dental healthcare systems for people with statutory health insurance. In addition, the KZV provides political representation for the dentists and orthodontists participating in statutory health insurance patient care. It also conducts the yearly negotiations on the range of services offered by the statutory health insurance providers and the remuneration of health care providers.

The KZV Sachsen-Anhalt is a statutory body under public law (founded: June 28, 1991). The guiding principle of public-law self-administration is the performance of state tasks within legally regulated structures by organized professional groups. These are usually tasks which, due to their specific nature, have traditionally not been part of direct state action, but which, because of their importance for the common good, are subject to state supervision. The duties of the different Associations of Statutory Health Insurance Dentists are set out in detail in the Fifth Book of the Social Code (SGB V).
The KZV LSA thus decides independently on its own affairs. Its governing bodies are the Representative Assembly and the Executive Board. The bodies of the corporation are supported by the employees of the KZV administration. The KZV Sachsen-Anhalt is one of 17 regionally organized member organizations of the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Dentists (KZBV), also a corporation under public law.
The KZV LSA is subject to the legal supervisiAon of the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, and Health of the State of Saxony-Anhalt. As a self-governing body, it is financed by its members.
